National Sales Meeting in Miami
From January 19th to 23rd the Miami Mayfair Hotel & Spa was the theater of the B&G National Sales meeting. The new Barton & Guestier USA team set together during 3 days for workshops and tastings sessions of B&G wines.
The seminar consisted in exchanging best practices among the different markets and defining the Key selling points for each wine.
Today, our sales forces have to face very limited availability of their customers and it is key to train our sales people to go straight to the point and send clear messages that will lead to getting an order and make sure the wine is also bought by the consumer.
The USA team is managed by Hubert Surville. Philippe Marion, B&G Sales & Marketing Director, Jean-Luc Noel, B&G Finance Director and Laurent Prada, B&G Head Winemaker, also closely involved in the U.S. organization were present during the seminars. Local market managers, assisted by 4 recently appointed B&G Brand Ambassadors for the major markets, will play an active role in the sales and promotion of B&G wines throughout the USA.
The first distribution focus will be on B&G Reserve Varietals, B&G Gold Labels and Château Magnol. B&G Sparkling, Les Charmes de Magnol Médoc and Thomas Barton Reserve will be emphasized in a second time.

Despite or thanks to the unfavorable national economic situation in the Thomas Barton’s home country, the government postponed the increase of duty on alcohol and VAT. This is good news for Barton & Guestier Reserve Varietals that continue to perform well, especially when on promotion in Dunnes and Superquinn. |
