"This is very good value – a nicely balanced, ripe and decently structured Bordeaux for under $20. It is a second label from the grand (and also large) Château Magnol, a showpiece property and hospitality centre just north of Bordeaux’s city limits. "

B&G Chateau Magnol 2011 87 points/ Very Good, Strong Recommendation. Tasting notes: Cherry, violets and mineral soil balance delicately on the nose. Smooth and dark berried fruit is silken in texture with undernotes of minerals and moss. Elegant with well-balanced acidity and ripe tannins, this wine is easy to enjoy.
