Château Magnol : the Heart of Barton & Guestier

Château Magnol is a fantastic vineyard (B&G property) close to Bordeaux, at the gate of the prestigious Médoc.
It is the company’s headquarters where a dedicated team of 40 persons work exclusively for the brand.
Château Magnol is also a high quality guesthouse and a great wine school!

The magnificent 18th century Château offers an exceptional comfort in a friendly and refined atmosphere.
Château Magnol is the ideal place for conferences (3 meeting rooms, secretarial work on request, laundry services…) and exclusive wine courses run by oenologists for amateurs and specialists.
The guesthouse offers 14 high-standard rooms, many leisure activities such as poolroom, music room, pétanque, basketball and also a pergola in the garden for aperitif and lunches.

The talented Chef de Cuisine, Frédéric Prouvoyeur, prepares a genuine, fine French cuisine (official dinners, informal lunches, barbecues in the gardens...) with the exclusive wine list from his private cellar including Barton & Guestier wines and other famous Châteaux from the region.

The Wine Connoisseur Program

This educational program is a unique opportunity to learn about the world of wine, for both beginners and connoisseurs. It is a full customized program, developed by B&G’s oenologists and covering themes as varied as the history of wine, the French AOC system, tasting techniques, food and wine matches.

Every week, Barton & Guestier welcomes distributor sales teams and customers to attend this 3-days seminar.
The theory is combined with practical wine tasting lessons and visits to the most famous Classified Growths and Châteaux.

The guests also discover Château Magnol’s private cellars, “Thomas Barton” and “Germain Rambaud” (the first cellar master of the company), hiding an extraordinary collection of over 20 000 bottles.
The seminar ends with a ceremony during which participants are inducted into the “Circle of Barton & Guestier Friends.”
